from the time the school calls Mark Reporting staff to OK the processing of report cards.

DESCRIPTION:
The following services are included in the standard service:
SIS Student System Directory - Contains all the parameters for processing reports and calculations for student on-line applications. Changes to the directory must be submitted, in writing, with changes listed in red ink. Each page containing a change should be signed by the district contact, dated, and mailed to Grade Reporting personnel at Erie 1 at least two weeks prior to a marking period date. This report is printed whenever a change is made, or on request.

A. Includes the following reports:
Course File, Master Schedule, Teacher File, Comment File, and Comment Frequency
B. Available whenever a change is made, or on request.
C. Provided with report card runs. Copies: 1 laser.
Attendance Cards: Printed once per year. Copies: 1 set.
Class List reports with marks. Printed once each marking period.
Failure List: Printed once each marking period.
Mark Distribution Report: Printed once each marking period.
Permanent Records Report Listing: Printed upon request. Copies: 1 set.
Permanent Record Cards: Printed once per year, at end of year. Copies: 1 set.
Index cards for Class Attendance: Printed upon request. Also available on stock paper. Copies: 1 set.
Occ Ed Statistics Report: Enrollment and attendance information. Printed upon request.
Users may also print the Class List, Failure List, Occ Ed Statistics Report, and Master Listing Reports at their own printer.
WNYRIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides access to student subsystem databases.
Provides for input through on-line data entry.
Provides display access to the Home Districts for Occ Ed Mark Reporting and Attendance data.
Makes provision for Occ Ed marks and attendance to print on the Home District's report cards.
Provides manuals.
Provides a means for purchasing the necessary hardware and software to be utilized with this service.
All necessary forms are provided as part of this service.
Provides updates to the software as regulations change or enhancements are made.
The HELP DESK (1-800-872-0780) is in operation from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to assist Users in the use of this service.
If printing is done at the RIC or an RJE site, the bursting and decollating of reports is provided.
A tape back-up of the application data is performed daily and weekly. Retention of the daily tape is 8 days, weekly tape is 3 weeks. The back-up of the complete fiscal/school year is retained for 7 years. Off-site storage is utilized to further protect back-ups.
The staff at the RIC maintains strict confidentiality while performing their duties for this service.
A Disaster Recovery System is in place to provide an alternative processing site should the center experience a disaster or outage of more than 24 hours.
DISTRICT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designates one person as the Erie 1 BOCES contact.
Designates one or more individuals to be trained in the use of the appropriate hardware and software, and to be assigned security access to the WNYRIC mainframe databases as authorized by the school superintendent or designee.
The individual with security access maintains the integrity of the database.
Sends the appropriate security forms to the Erie 1 BOCES security officer.
Notifies the WNYRIC, in writing, if security authorization changes.
Designates an individual to authorize any directory changes and to attend WNYRIC sponsored user meetings.
Develops a processing schedule for all mark reporting cycles during the school year, notifies the WNYRIC, in writing, of any changes to the schedule, and plans the schedule within the published turnaround times of WNYRIC.
Requests additional training for new staff.
