DESCRIPTION:
This service provides general fact finding for the planning and implementation of a VoIP system including Unified Communications (Sametime/Lotus Notes). In coordination with vendors, the WNYRIC staff will assist with project management to assist districts with the design, purchase, installation and on-going support and integration of a new phone/voice and collaboration communication system. This service also provides general fact finding for the design and planning for a VOIP system in coordination with vendors, monitoring and remote administration of the district’s voice communications system using the WNYRIC high-speed WAN network. Also includes Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC) to existing systems, monitor Quality of Service (QOS) on internal and wide area network, and provides phone support and training for District telephone system administrator.
650.840.30, 650.840.31 VoIP & UC Base Service - Allows for participation in the service, integration with the WNYRIC unified communications infrastructure and affiliated application service areas.
650.840.32 VoIP & UC Maintenance and support - This service component is for maintenance contracts and vendor off hours support.
650.840.33, 650.840.34 VoIP & UC Project Management Base Service - This service component provides for project management for the initial year install/upgrade/RIC integration from VoIP service project leader, and coordination with other RIC applications and vendors.
650.840.35 VoIP & UC billable hours - This service component is for consulting, design, planning, implementation, maintenance and repair, and on-going operations (add/moves/changes), billed on a per hour basis.
VoIP PRI-Aidable(650.840.37)** - Aidable PRI Lines if install is in an shared system.
650.840.39 VoIP & UC Miscellaneous - This service component covers any miscellaneous service support costs such as vendor or consultant contracts.
VoIP PRI-Unaidable(650.841.30)** -Unaidable PRI Lines if install is in an unshared system.
WNYRIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preliminary meetings
o Includes district readiness and discussion of pros and cons of options as well as infrastructure design readiness and integration for collaboration tools.
o Assist district personnel in explaining process/needs to Superintendent/BOE
Walk thru
o WNYRIC staff includes VoIP Supervisor/Wan Senior
Discuss Unified Communications needs and where it fits in the schedule
Network readiness needs assessment
VoIP Needs assessment
Schedule vendor presentations
Create MPN for equipment procurement thru WNYRIC or assist with capital project equipment procurement
Assist with the development of the project plan
o Includes dial plan, long distance, system features, database collection contact, training requirements and PRI lines** where applicable.
Develop IP scheme/VLAN/QOS for testing in conjunction with WNYRIC staff WAN Senior
Schedule VoIP phone line install
Assist with testing of network
Maintain current maintenance contract with a vendor
Coordinate system upgrades for software versions
System health monitoring
System administration
DISTRICT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide appropriate district staff to plan implementation
Provide appropriate district staff for any walk troughs’
Assist with network readiness needs assessment
Assist with the development of the project plan
o Includes dial plan, long distance, system features, database collection contact, training requirements and PRI lines** where applicable
Assist with the network testing by supplying systems to host test software
Designate a contact person for communication between WNYRIC and the school as well as any changes to this contact
Report any system issues to the WNYRIC
